Georgiy Sudakov set for Benfica move after club reach agreement with Shakhtar
Softfootball says that Benfica is close to signing Georgiy Sudakov from Shakhtar Donetsk in the last few days of the transfer window. This will be the most expensive transfer in the club's history.
Reports say that the deal is worth €30 million in fixed fees, plus bonuses based on how well the work is done. This is more than the previous record of €29.7 million set by Orkun Kokcu, which included goals and fixed fees.
Georgiy Sudakov played 37 games for Shakhtar last season, scoring 15 goals and setting up 6 others. The attacking midfielder from Ukraine played his last game for Shakhtar on Thursday against Servette in the second leg of the Conference League playoff. After that, he moved to Lisbon.
