DeeOne completes Guinness World Record attempt for longest stand-up comedy marathon
The Guinness World Record for the longest stand-up comedy marathon has been achieved by Nigerian comedian DeeOne.
As you may remember, on Thursday, October 2, 2025, DeeOne kicked off his stand-up comedy marathon at Pallazzo Lagos in Opebi, Ikeja, Lagos.
DeeOne breaks the record for the longest stand-up comedy marathon in the Guinness World Records.
October 4, 2025, marked the end of the event, which had started on October 2, 2025.
Notably, American stand-up comedian Benny Elbows held the record for the longest stand-up comedy marathon, which lasted 40 hours, 16 minutes, and 48 seconds.
But as of yet, there has been no formal proof that DeeOne holds the new record.
Notably, Hilda Baci's jollof cook-off was followed by the conclusion of DeeOne's longest stand-up comedy marathon.
Hilda Baci's jollof cook-off took place at the Eko Hotels & Suites on Victoria Island in Lagos, as GistReel previously reported.
Among the noteworthy people who attended the celebration, which drew 20,000 people, were popular preacher Bolaju Idowu and Nollywood actress Funke Akindele, who accompanied Hilda Baci during the preparation.
Hilda Baci also provided information about the ingredients used in the recipe, which included 600 kilogrammes of her own jollof pepper mix, 220 kg of Gino Asun, Peppered Chicken Cubes, 4,000 kg of basmati rice, and 164 kg of fresh goat meat.
