Young Katsinawa Residents of Yobe Start Marching from Damaturu to Attend the Swearing-In Ceremony of Teacher Dikko Radda

Some young Katsina residents of Damaturu in Yobe State started traveling to Katsina on bicycles to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Dr. Dikko Umar Radda as the new Governor of Katsina State and his deputy, Faruq Lawan Jobbe to show their patriotism.

In the interview with Focus News Hausa source, Aminiya held with them in Damaturu town before the start of this march, they expressed their support for the newly elected Governor of Katsina.

The two young men Sulaiman Halilu aged 33 and Kamilu A. Bala who is known as Amanar Dr. Radda aged 29 are all natives of Musawa Local Government in Katsina state.

Our correspondent reported that the two young people were destined by God to stay in Damaturu for a long time.

Aminiya asked one of the young people, Sulaiman Halilu, about the reason for this march to show love and support for Dr. Dikko Umar Radda.

He explained that the purpose of this journey from town to town to Katsina town by bicycle is not more than two things.

"Firstly, during the 2022 preliminary election in the APC party, three champions were selected for us;  Dr. Radda and Abdullahi Aliyu Talban Musawa as our Member of Parliament for Musawa and Matazu and the third Honorable Mukhtari Yan Dutse as our Senator from Funtuwa area.

"Since then, we have promised that if they win the election, we will do this march to witness the swearing in of the governor to show our support and our joy, and let all our heroes win the election.

"The second reason is that we want to assure the people of Katsina that it was not Dikko Radda who won, it was a victory for all Katsina people.

"Therefore, we express our gratitude to the Governor of Katsina State, Aminu Bello Masari and the Director of Campaign Dr. Dikko Radda, Ahmed Musa Dan Giwa and our father, Senator Abu Ibrahim and the Chairman of the 13-13 group, Dauda Kahutu Rarara and our member of parliament and  other people who contributed to this success."

Aminiya further asked to know if there is any favor that the youth have received from these politicians that they respect them so much?

Sulaiman gave the answer that, "Well, it is a good Friday that is recognized from Wednesday."

"Because in 2015, when Masari won the Katsina governorship election, he [Dikko] attracted him and gave him the position of Chief of Staff.

"Later, His Excellency President Muhammadu Buhari appointed him as the Chairman of the Small and Medium Enterprises Agency (SMEDAN), where he served for four years the President saw his merits and he was extended another four years.

"So we the people of Katsina state saw his merits and asked him to run for governor.

"He agreed to come out with the help of God and the people of Katsina elected him as governor in the election that took place.

Our representative asked the youth how long they will spend on this journey?

Sulaiman explained that "they have taken a week's time, God willing, before the oath day, they will reach the town of Katsina in the judgment of God."

"And there are those who have helped us a lot to see that we have reached the success of this journey of ours, including our Katsinawa Mazauna Damaturu group, the people of Governor Mai Mala Buni, and some of our friends."
