The Year's Top 10 Nigerian Gospel Songs in 2024
As part of our culture, we bring to you a curated selection of the Top 10 Nigerian Gospel Songs of 2022 (So Far). These tracks were chosen by our staff as our top releases of the year, and they come highly recommended. The goal is to spread the word about new Nigerian gospel music as well as present a few performers to keep an eye out for.
See What the Lord Has Done will be remembered as one of the most popular Nigerian gospel songs of 2022. For, after it was initially sung and delivered by Nathaniel Bassey at the new building dedication of 'Deeper Fellowship Church' in Orlando FL (in 2021), the song instantaneously won the hearts of multitudes. Before it was recorded as a single and released later in January 2022, it was already an anthem.
"See What the Lord Has Done" is included in Nathaniel Bassey's most recent CD, "The Names of God," which was recorded live at RCCG, The King's Court in November 2021.
Omo Baba - Prophecy Spirit
Omo Baba is another song that would be remembered as one of the most influential Nigerian gospel songs of 2022. The incredible song, which was published in April, went viral on social media and streaming platforms, propelling the Lagos-based band to notoriety.
"Omo Baba" discusses our identity in Christ and our authority as believers, while also praising God for His goodness and all He has done. The tune received enormous attention on TikTok, which spread to other social media platforms via viral videos.
