Nigeria: Courts have stripped 31 members of the Federal Assembly of their seats so far
The courts that hear election cases in Nigeria have presented different judgments in the recent past that separated the 31 members of the Federal Assembly from their seats.
Among the constituencies where these federal assembly elections were cancelled, there are Kogi East and Kogi Central constituencies, then Delta Central and Delta South along with Plateau South.
While the court required the holding of elections in some areas of the Kogi East, Delta South and Delta Central seats, the court also handed the Labor Minister Simon Bako Lalong the Plateau South senatorial seat.
