Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna is the current deputy governor of Kano state; He served as the Chairman of Nasarawa Local Government for 2 terms and expanded things and improved the infrastructure and welfare of the community. Gawuna, he is the first Local Government Chairman in Kano State to start the implementation of the scholarship system at home and abroad which such a system has produced specialists and scholars now for Nassarawa Local Government.
His position as the Chairman of Nasarawa local government crossed two administrations; The government of Malam Ibrahim Shekarau and that of Rabi'u Musa Kwankwaso. In Ganduje's government, Gawuna held the position of Commissioner for Agriculture where he later became the deputy governor, and now, he is the governorship candidate of the APC party.
By right, Gawuna has worked in all the 3 governments that have worked for Kano from 1999 to date. better understanding of Kano's political system, economy and leadership.

Murtala Sule Garo is Gawuna's deputy in this contest, Murtala rose from his position as a Daya politician from the ground up, to become the chairman of Kabo local government, while as the chairman of the local government, Murtala has chaired the heads of 44 local governments as the head of ALGON.
Murtala's success in uniting the youth and women in the 2015 election made him a local government commissioner in 2015; He successfully managed the ministry, which is why he was re-appointed after Governor Ganduje's re-election victory in 2019.

Abba Kabir Yusuf is the gubernatorial candidate of the NNPP party, since 2011 he started to manage politics when he was appointed commissioner of works under Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. Before becoming the Commissioner for Works in 2011, Abban was a special assistant to Kwankwaso.
In his capacity as a Commissioner, Abba led the way to provide infrastructure for the Nassarawa Gate Bridge, the underground Kabuga Bridge and other major projects that Kwankwaso created during his time. Abba Kabir, He ran for Governor in 2019 under the PDP where Governor Ganduje won the Election, which led Abba to challenge the Election to the Supreme Court.
