 Nigeria's Debt Exceeds 87.38 Trillion Naira In 2nd Term 2023 - DMO Report

The Nigerian Debt Management Bureau has said that Nigeria's total debt is 87.38 trillion naira at the end of the second half of 2023.

The amount shows an increase of 75.29 percent or 37.53 trillion Naira compared to 49.85 trillion Naira received at the end of March 2023.

The office in a report released on Thursday said that the debt includes the Central Bank of Nigeria which continues to give the federal government Na 22.71 trillion.

The statement also pointed out that the other additions to the debts are some new loans of the federal government and local governments from home and abroad.
